Indoor Stable Doors
When your horses are not out in a field enjoying fresh air and grazing, then they are most likely in a stable inside a big barn, right? Stable doors for inside barns are designed with a strong steel frame, with the infill of the door being made from either a strong, solid wood or equally just as strong solid recycled plastic. These materials also are great at withstanding rust caused by any animal waste and provide good air flow for horses when in the stable. These materials are chosen to withstand the horse’s activity when they are in the stall, such as kicking and chewing. The doors are also designed with suitable locking mechanisms to keep horses safely inside, prevent escaping, but just as easy to unlock if ever needed to in a hurry.

For outdoor stables, doors are made to handle harsh weather conditions such as gale force winds and torrential rain. They are also like indoor stable doors, and designed to withstand chewing and kicking from horses. Like indoor stable doors, outdoor stable doors are also designed from similar materials, often featuring a steel frame strong enough to endure winds to keep the door in shape and also waterproof, and the infill being made from solid good weather resisting wood or recycled plastic. These materials are also designed to resist rust caused from water damage and animal waste and don’t splinter easily, ensuring a safe design. Outdoor stable doors also feature a split dutch design, so that the bottom half of the door can remain closed whilst the top is open for the horse to get daylight and fresh air, or both halves to be closed on those wetter days or over night, and of course both halves can open to get in and out of the stable.
